DAY 1: TRANSFER AND RIDE TO ODONG HILL
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel on your own, meet the host, and drive about 45 minutes to the starting point. Embrace smiles from villagers and children as you travel on country roads. Experience the warmth of the local community as you pass through quaint villages and lush landscapes. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the countryside before beginning your short hike up the former capital of Oudong. From here, you will learn more about the history and background of this ancient city and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Don’t forget to capture some stunning photos to remember this unique experience. Lunch will be served a short pedal away in the local restaurant. We then set back on the road again along the Tonle Sap River, where you will discover a fishing community and a serene landscape along this mighty river. We will give up the ride and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 2: VISIT LOCAL INDUSTRY BY BIKE AND RETURN
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel, then cycle through Battambang’s northern part. While you pedal on a narrow and village road, you will discover local businesses like rice papermaking, dried bananas, and unique Khmer bamboo sticky rice. A bite of these snacks will allow you to understand the city cuisine while you learn about the traditional skill of making it. This immersive experience will give you a taste of authentic Cambodian culture and a deeper appreciation for the local way of life. We then ride back to unwind at the hotel before embarking on exciting adventures in the late afternoon, including a bamboo train ride, a locally invented transportation that is still popularly used today.
DAY 3: RIDE AND TRANSFER TO SIEM REAP
We will start our day after breakfast and explore the southern city, stopping at an ancient temple in Banan for its serene landscape surroundings. A short hike on the restoration stairs will offer you a more feel for active adventures. We will ride back to the hotel for a short refreshing before a transfer to Siem Reap. Last but not least, we will stop over at an interesting floating village of Me Chrey. This unique experience will give you a glimpse into the daily life of the local community living on the water. A motorized boat tour will offer long-lasting memories while you enjoy a sunset over the great lake of Tonle Sap. After our visit, we will continue our journey to Siem Reap, where we will check into our accommodation for the night.
